Donut Fundraiser: May 23rd - 25th Memorial Day Weekend, May 31st, June 7th, 14th, 21st Sundays only; June 27th thru September 6th Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays Friday, July 3rd and Monday September 7th Labor Day. Freshly made “Sound View Donuts” on sale from 7 to 10 AM or until sold out. You can purchase delicious donuts at the community center or preorder here. Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser: Saturday June 20th, from 8 to 11 AM. Enjoy delicious pancakes, maple syrup, sausage, ham, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, orange juice, and coffee/tea. Bingo: June 17th thru August 26th, Wednesdays. Doors open at 6 PM, game starts at 7 PM. $17 admission charge includes 20 games, 17 regular games and 3 specials with bigger prizes. Join us for a fun evening and win some money! For info, call Bob at 860-434-3745.
Jazz @ The Vue - Live Jazz Sessions: May 12th & 26th; June 9th & 23rd; July 14th & 28th; August 11th & 25th; September 15th & 29th. Tuesdays 7 to 9 PM. Piano, guitar, bass and drum musicians will be dropping by to jam all evening. You can bring your own refreshments, enjoy the music, and even dance if you want! Independence Day Parade: Saturday July 4th, 10 AM, starting from the community center. There will be a marching band, VFW Honor Guard, children marchers, decorated bikes, floats, balloons, and fun, fun, fun! After the parade, numerous prizes will be awarded to children for best costume, most patriotic, funniest outfit, and best decorated bike and wagon. If you want to be in parade, join line up at 9:45 AM on Hartford Avenue in front of the Shoreline Community Center. For info, call Gail 860-434-6426.
Pasta Dinner: Saturday August 8th, doors open from 5:30 to 8 PM. Enjoy delicious pasta, meatballs, fresh salad, bread, desserts, and coffee. All you can eat! Walk-ins welcome. Donations adults $15, children under 8 years $7. Tickets available at door or call Val 860-716-6632.
